HLTAID003 Provide First Aid in Murray Bridge

This 5 hour course will provide you with an understanding of how to apply immediate care of an injured or suddenly sick casualty be that first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until more advanced medical help arrives. Appropriate for a wide range of situations including the workplace, home or neighbourhood.

Previously known as Senior First Aid, Apply First Aid & Level 2 Workplace First Aid

Provide First Aid HLTAID003 course is the most current standard and applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.

Qualifications & First Aid Certificate

1-day course with 3 Units of Competency from the new HLT Health Training Package recorded on your Statement of Attainment issued the same day

After successful completion of the course you will receive:
  1. HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  2. HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
  3. HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid meets all Australian government requirements for first aid in the workplace and the community first aider. Our government accredited courses are all nationally recognised and accredited with ASQA. Your qualification gained is equivalent to St Johns and Red Cross courses.

Reaccreditation & Refreshers

Current industry standards require Provide First Aid to be updated every 3 years. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends the CPR component is updated annually.

  • How to use and Automatic External Debibrillator (AED)
  • Drowning and Choking
  • Medical Emergencies:
    - Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Seizures. Heart Attack, Stroke, Diabetes
  • First Aid Management:
    - Bleeding Injuries, Burns, Fractures, Soft Tissue
  • Bites ans Stings Management:
    - Snakes, Spider Bites and Sea Creatures
  • Spinal Management:
    - Head and spinal injuries
  • Managing heat and cold conditions:
    - Dehydratin, Heat Hxhaustion, Heat Stroke, Hypothemia
  • Assessing and Moving the injures ( Secondary Survey):
    - Head to toe examination
  • Follow relevant procedures for recording first aid:
    - Verbal Handover and Incident report writing
  • and lots more

Please be aware that a requirement of this course is a practical demonstration of CPR which is performed on the floor.
